本实用新型公开了一种基于千兆以太网物理层的中继器,包括接收端和发送端的网络接口、网络变压器、千兆以太网物理层集成芯片,所述网络变压器位于千兆以太网物理层集成芯片与网络接口之间;所述接收端千兆以太网物理层集成芯片通过网络变压器、网络接口接收到符合千兆以太网格式的数据,通过并行数据接口或串行数据接口,发送到发送端千兆以太网物理层集成芯片,发送端千兆以太网物理层集成芯片再通过发送端网络变压器、网络接口把数据转发出去。本实用新型可以对已经衰减了数据进行一次数据恢复,把恢复的数据完全转发出去;可以运用于千兆以太网的双绞线传输系统中;也可以使用现有的双绞线布线网络,且传输稳定,成本很低。
